We all love our furry friends! Your Sacramento Moving Company has some great suggestions for ways to treat your dog to new, fun places this summer. From the best dog parks in the Sacramento area to summer camp for dogs to Meetup groups, you won’t want to miss these great opportunities for your pet.

While walks around the neighborhood or to a nearby park are always a great idea, why not check out some new scenery? CBS Sacramento  compiled a list of the 4 best places to take your dog in the area. One of these is the American River Parkway (also known as theAmericanRiverbike trail) which gives you and your pup a scenic walk along the American River anywhere between Folsom Lake and Old Sacramento. Second on the list is William Land Park by the Sacramento Zoo followed by Partner Park, which is an off-leash dog park in Land Park. And last but not least, Sutter’s Landing Park downtown offers separate play areas based on the size of dog.

One summer activity your pet will love is the Wag Hotel Summer Camp for dogs. This camp runs for 5 weeks from mid-July to mid-August and dogs can attend for one day, one week, or for the duration of camp. Each day has a different theme such as splash pools, bug quest, doggy relay, luau, and tug-o-war. This camp’s goal is to bring together dogs of all shapes and sizes to have fun.

Still want more fun with the canine? Join a Meetup group centered around pets. Meetup.com features several great groups for dog owners including a Dog Activity Play and Agility Group, Dog Lovers and Hiking Hounds of Sacramento, and the Cordova Dog Parks Meetup Group. These groups are good for anything from allowing dogs and dog owners to meet other dogs and dog owners, to teaching dogs good citizen skills.

So what are you waiting for? Grab the leash, call the pooch and set out to have an adventure with your furry friend!
