Thanksgiving is almost here, and with that we must all remember to be thankful and give thanks to those who deserve it. Before you go off to enjoy the holiday and quality time you will spend with your loved ones, here are some tips to keep in mind in relation to this special day.

Give Thanks: Probably one of the most obvious values of this holiday, yet we tend to put it on the backburner. Showing appreciation is an easy way to remind workers that they are valued assets to the company. This can be done in many different ways, and can be formal or informal. Whether or not you actually say “thank you” is less important than the fact that you take the time to acknowledge the work they have done. A simple compliment works, as a written thank-you card or email. Any positive communication that lets your employees know you are aware of their progress keeps people motivated.
Have a Potluck: It’s simple and lots of workplaces do it. The company can supply the meat and the workers can bring potluck dishes to share and celebrate the season. Having a meal together allows people to let down their guard, be themselves, and get to know each other. This can create a more productive workplace throughout the year.
Give to Others: Come together and as an office and get into the spirit of giving. Whether it’s collecting food for a local good bank, or finding a charity to volunteer at together, tis the season to give back.
